Pirata London branding, 2011

My last assignment at Pirata was to work on some ideas to develop their new branding. The logotype was crafted by illustrator Lucas Sharp in New York and I attempted to develop further the identity system, looking into grid, colours, typography, visual elements, etc.

1) APPLICATIONS Defining colour palette, which might change slightly depending on the city, and 40ยบ angle. QR code suggests some rather low-fi ways of reusing paper, such as making origami pirate hats.

2) COLOURS AND FLAGS These are initial studies to create a library of colourful assets, which can be combined in a myriad of ways, creating a new visual language as a set of graphic flags. Wish I had time to develop it a bit further.
